About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Repair Specialist to join our team at Wayfair. As a key member of our Distribution team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive high-quality products that meet their expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate damages and defects of items to determine if they can be repaired, and make any necessary adjustments to ensure items are in perfect condition for delivery.
  • Prioritize and execute daily, weekly, and monthly tasks to ensure completion in a timely and effective manner.
  • Accurately report outcomes of work in progress, completed, and past due work.
  • Monitor inventory and order replacement parts and complete installs as needed.
  • Administer appropriate repair methods for various product types, including wood and upholstery repairs.
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of prior experience in furniture repair/construction.
  • Advanced understanding of repairing wood items, including color and stain matching, damage/defect repair.
  • Ability to use power and hand tools as needed.
  • Advanced understanding of repairing upholstery and multiple fabric types.
  • High attention to detail and prioritization of quality to deliver a perfect item to the customer.
  • Ability to work on warehouse floor for 8 hours a day or more.
  • Strong, consistent work ethic and ability to manage time effectively.
  • Comfort with scanning technology.
  • Able to read and comprehend English to ensure safety and the safety of those working around you.
