Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building/facilities.
- Repair malfunctioning machines, equipment, and small tools/parts, and escalate problems requiring assistance to the supervisor for corrective action.
- Perform repairs on electrical and electronic equipment, including motor replacement, hoist pendent replacement, fuses, motor brushes, and overloads.
- Perform preventative maintenance and/or lubrication on machinery and equipment to ensure proper orientation, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Perform repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Perform layout and fabrication of miscellaneous weldments from sketches and drawings using various welding equipment.
- Perform machining and forming of parts and material as required.
- Perform utility maintenance involving the repair, replacement, and installation of electrical, oil, and gas lines.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools and power tools, welders and torches, presses, lathes, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
- Perform building and facilities maintenance as required.
- Operate various industrial vehicles used in material/machine moving or snow removal.
- Assist in the installation and relocation involving production machines and equipment.
- Assist in on-the-job training of employees, work assignments in other job classifications, and projects.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding and PLC/electronic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Completion of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic program at a technical school.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
