Job Title: Automotive Maintenance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Maintenance Manager to join our team at Personnel Staffing, Inc. in Pell City, AL.

Job Summary:

The Automotive Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of our facility, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel, including assigning tasks and providing guidance and training as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and goals
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources to ensure effective use of personnel and materials
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts and services
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of maintenance or related-industry experience, with 4-6 years of supervisory experience
  • Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance operations and improving equipment reliability
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and direct a team of maintenance personnel
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Proficiency in SAP or CMMS software, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
Work Environment:

The Automotive Maintenance Manager will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet business objectives.

  • Frequent walking and standing
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of heavy equipment and materials
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperatures and environments

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and maintenance manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with other team members

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
