Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with core product security and specialized teams to identify the technologies and processes necessary to fulfill customer requirements for system security and resilience.
  • Serve as a technical expert in secure cyber-resilient engineering, applying your expertise and providing guidance throughout the product lifecycle: requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support.
  • Lead a small team or specific projects in this domain, offering technical leadership and leveraging functional knowledge.
  • Engage with government entities, customers, suppliers, and industry specialists to fulfill system requirements.
  • Create digital models and utilize digital tools such as model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to meet program objectives.
  • Develop and refine systems security and resilience best practices, ensuring the techniques, policies, procedures, and knowledge are implemented across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field (Electrical, Software, Controls, Systems).
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Master's degree in a STEM discipline with relevant experience, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 6+ years of relevant engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a high-level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong systems thinking ability: understanding complex system boundaries, interactions, and interdependencies across multiple abstraction layers throughout the system's lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and the technical skills necessary for developing, implementing, and securing such cyber-physical systems.
  • Interest or experience in cybersecurity and cyber threats (e.g., designing secure products, systems, and applications; intrusion detection; digital forensics; system recovery; risk assessment tools and methods; security solutions, policies, standards, and procedures).
  • Knowledge and/or experience in applying systems security policies and standards in engineering cyber-physical systems.
  • Outcome-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying practical solutions to complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills: able to influence without authority and convey complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • A desire to mentor and educate team members, actively learning, developing, applying, and sharing newly acquired knowledge and skills in this fast-paced and dynamic field.
