Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our patient care team at Concentra. This role requires delivering exceptional care to patients and making a meaningful difference in their lives.

About the Role
  • Perform routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision of the treating clinician, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  • Support other areas of the facility as needed, including registration and referral management, demonstrating flexibility and a strong work ethic.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical competency, compassion, and communication skills. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering one-on-one patient care with quality and respect.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required or requested ancillary testing, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.), utilizing medical knowledge and techniques to ensure accurate results.
  • Assist providers during examination and treatment, collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
  • Determine nature and extent of illness or injury to establish first aid procedures, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician, maintaining strict adherence to protocols and guidelines.
  • Triage emergent patients as needed, prioritizing urgent cases and providing timely interventions.
  • Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician, ensuring accurate medication administration and inventory management.
  • Administer prescribed first-aid treatment, upholding professional standards and delivering compassionate care.
  • Communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facility, fostering effective collaboration and teamwork.
  • Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
  • Notify supervisor immediately if equipment is not functioning properly, reporting maintenance needs promptly.
Requirements
  • Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, EMT Certification Required.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification, Demonstrated medical knowledge and techniques.
  • Drug Screen Collection, Breath Alcohol Certification, and Hair and Oral Fluids Collection certifications.
  • At least 1 year of job-related experience, Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems using logic and critical thinking.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
