Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Steven J Enterprises LLC. As a Commercial Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems for large supermarket chains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test HVAC-R systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform regular maintenance on HVAC-R systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Install new HVAC-R systems and replace existing ones as needed.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with HVAC-R systems, including electrical circuits and components.
  • Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks and repair or replace as necessary.
  • Join pipes or tubing to equipment and to fuel, water, or refrigerant sources.
  • Reassemble and test equipment following repairs.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications and licenses.
  • Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers.
  • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of HVAC or HVAC-R training or apprenticeship program.
  • Experience: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures with 1-2 years of related experience required.
  • EPA license required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Verified rack experience can negotiate higher hourly rate.
  • Must have a clean motor vehicle record with at least 3 years commercial driving experience.

Working Conditions

Will be expected to be on an "on-call" rotation for 24/7 emergency service. Will be expected to travel out of town, at times, to help with large supermarket projects, as needed. Background check required. Clean drug test required.
