Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and Diagnose Speech and Language Disorders: Evaluate students' communication skills and identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: Create personalized education plans to address students' communication needs.
  • Provide Direct Therapy Services: Offer one-on-one and group therapy sessions to help students improve their communication skills.
  • Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Regularly assess students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with Teachers and Staff: Work with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
