Per-Diem Cardiothoracic Surgery NP/PA Opportunity

Excellent opportunity for a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join a well-established, hospital-employed practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Rounding on each patient upon arrival.
  • Addressing any issues with nurses throughout the night and if needed for major issues.
  • Performing minor procedures at the bedside as needed with direction from the surgeon, and reviewing lab work and/or tests ordered during the day.
  • Rounding throughout the night on all patients as needed.

The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of experience.

ICU/CCU experience and the ability to read radiological tests such as chest x-rays and CT scans are required.

Ability to do chest tube insertion, central line, and arterial line placement is a plus.
