Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm System Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, configuring, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission Fire Alarm Systems, including Simplex, Fike, and Kidde systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational manuals to ensure accurate installation.
  • Work with project managers to resolve discrepancies and coordinate installation activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service by training customers on system operation and answering questions.
  • Complete project documentation in a timely manner and adhere to OSHA and SimplexGrinnell safety policies.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Three years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, and commissioning devices.
  • Able to obtain and retain required licenses and certifications.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, to meet customer requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET Level II certification
  • Knowledge of local Fire Codes
