Purchasing Analyst

County of Northampton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Analyst to join our team. As a Purchasing Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring contract performance, analyzing purchasing requisitions, and providing exceptional customer service to visitors and users.

• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Analyze purchasing requisitions and ensure adherence to fiscal limits guidelines
• Provide training to users on the automated purchasing system
• Assist in the preparation of bid and RFP specifications
• Analyze proposals and bid responses to determine the lowest responsible bidder/proposer
• Perform procurement tasks such as pricing and ordering materials and supplies
• Manage the Northampton County P-Card program
• Supervise contract performance by user agencies and ensure County compliance with terms and conditions of contracts

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• At least five (5) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in procurement or contracting
• Knowledge of the fundamental principles and practices of governmental procurement
• Ability to prepare, analyze, and award bids and proposals
• Understanding of the organization and functional structure of the County of Northampton

The work environment is quiet, and the noise level is minimal. The physical demands of the job include frequent walking, sitting, talking, or hearing, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
