CNC Machinist

New Flyer is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components.

• Develop and implement CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to optimize production processes.
• Set up and operate CNC machines based on program specifications to ensure accuracy and meet production targets.
• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturing and improve overall production efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

• Previous experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role with a strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine set-up and operation with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with strong communication skills and a good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
