Decontamination Specialist

Job Summary
A Decontamination Specialist with Exeter Health Resources is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and working knowledge of computers.

About the Role
This role requires constant standing and rarely lifting 50 lbs. However, frequent lifting of 28 lbs and pushing/pulling equipment with 25 lbs force are also required. The successful candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in both outpatient and inpatient surgical areas.

Key Responsibilities
Process (decontaminate, assemble, sterilize) surgical instruments and patient care equipment according to departmental policies and procedures. Process Endoscopes according to hospital policies and procedures. Provide operational support to the OR by responding rapidly and effectively to patient care needs. Perform washer, steam sterilizer, low temp sterilizer, and OER testing per departmental policies and procedures. Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital policy.

Salary Information
The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
