Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of our correctional population.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care in a clear and concise manner, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documentation.
- Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current licensure/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas.
- Current BLS-HP certification required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional environment and maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
