Role Summary:
As a Precision Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to manufacture precise components and instruments. This role encompasses the responsibilities of precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical devices.
Additionally, you may be tasked with fabricating and altering parts to construct or repair machine tools, utilizing your knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining processes.
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule, specifically during the 2nd Shift from 3 PM to 11:30 PM. New hires may qualify for a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Efficiently operate machinery and perform routine tasks.
- Operations Management: Execute operational tasks by adhering to established protocols.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the upkeep and repair of machinery through preparation and support.
- Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow mandatory work instructions to protect the environment and ensure personal and team safety.
- Compliance: Adhere to procedures that guarantee work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Precision Measurement: Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and dial indicators.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerances.
- Communication: Engage in courteous interactions to exchange information effectively.
- Policy Adherence: Work under guidance to comprehend policies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in machining within a manufacturing or repair setting, proficient in operating manual lathes, milling machines, or CNC equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Communication: Demonstrates clear and effective verbal communication skills.
- Planning and Organization: Capable of planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet business objectives.
- Health and Safety: Understands and applies safe work practices.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
