Position Overview
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of residential properties. Reporting directly to the Property Manager and under the guidance of the Service Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that vacant apartments and communal areas are impeccably cleaned and presented.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive daily cleaning assignments and prepare necessary supplies for each designated unit.
- Thoroughly clean vacant apartments, including disinfecting appliances and bathrooms, mopping floors, and ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
- Conduct inspections post-cleaning to identify any areas needing further attention.
- Maintain model apartments to ensure they are presentable for potential residents.
- Clean other facilities on the property, such as the office, laundry rooms, fitness center, and public restrooms, as scheduled.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the overall cleanliness and functionality of the property.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven ability to clean residential units and facilities following established procedures.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial roles.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
- Familiarity with various cleaning products and their appropriate uses.
- Strong understanding of household cleaning techniques.
- Effective communication skills with property management, staff, and residents.
- Capacity to handle the physical demands of the job consistently throughout the day.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
The role requires the ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk; use hands and fingers to manipulate objects; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds independently and 35 pounds with assistance, is necessary. The work environment is primarily indoors, with occasional exposure to dust, cleaning chemicals, and outdoor conditions.
