HVAC Engineer

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer/HVAC Technician to join our team at PIH Health. As a key member of our Plant Operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building mechanical systems, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve our systems and processes.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in HVAC repair and maintenance, with a focus on control systems and air systems.
• Valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance.
• Prior experience in a hospital environment is preferred, but not required.

• HVAC Technician Certification EPA Clean Air Section 608.
• Building Automation Control System experience.
• Boiler Operator experience.
• Five to seven years' experience with hospital/commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
