Job SummaryNew Vista Health LLC is seeking an experienced OR Supervisor to join our team of reproductive endocrinologists and healthcare professionals. As an OR Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our medical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the operating rooms, ensuring efficient case flow, and effective communication with lab staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the ASC leaders to establish, implement, and evaluate quality standards for patient care and facility policies.
- Training and Development: Assist with training and onboarding of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and serve as the Super User.
- Supply Chain Management: Establish and oversee a system to ensure adequate supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for cases, procurement, and management of supply inventory.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of medical equipment with vendors.
- Policy Development: Establish and revise policy and procedures to maintain current standards in the OR suite.
- Staff Development: Conduct in-service and training for OR staff, monthly.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist the Director of Nursing/Administrator with emergency preparedness for the facility.
- Regulatory Compliance: Actively hold staff accountable for regulatory standards.
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing or a health-related field.
- Experience: A minimum of two years' experience working in an operating room, with previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
