Electrical Controls Engineer

Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, troubleshooting, and calibrating electrical power, control, measurement, and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and layout electrical prints, develop PLC programs from inception to completion, and create general instructions for electrical systems.
- Troubleshooting and Calibration: Troubleshoot and calibrate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, gaseous, and electronic devices during initial installation and commissioning.
- PLC Programming and Configuration: Program and configure hardware and software for all families of PLCs, PLC graphical user interfaces, and support variable frequency AC and DC electronic motor drives.
- Documentation and Training: Assist in training and development of electrical department personnel in PLCs, drives, and networks.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: 5 years of prior relevant work experience in electrical design and controls.
- Skills: Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC and PanelView software versions, reading and interpreting electrical engineering drawings, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Personal Qualities: Ambitious self-starters with a strong work ethic, good organization skills, and attention to detail.
