Our main dining venue offers a distinctive menu featuring chef-crafted, Guadalajara-inspired dishes, complemented by craft cocktails, available both indoors and on a spacious patio overlooking the slopes.

Role Purpose:
The Cook plays a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. You are driven by a passion for hospitality and committed to ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable visit. The ideal candidate will possess a love for the mountain lifestyle and an appreciation for what makes Crested Butte unique.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, including Evenings and Weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
The Cook is responsible for:

  • Preparing all food items according to standardized recipes for various dining services, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas to uphold sanitation and safety standards.
  • Completing necessary food and station preparations before service to ensure prompt and efficient guest service.
  • Preparing and displaying buffet items in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Recognizing and adhering to quality standards for fresh produce, meats, and dairy products.
  • Following specifications for banquet food preparation as outlined in Banquet Event Orders.
  • Assisting in the preparation of meals for the Employee Cafeteria as directed.
  • Utilizing proper food handling and storage techniques to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining cleanliness throughout the work area.
  • Supporting other kitchen positions as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with prior culinary experience preferred.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • The stamina to stand for extended periods and adapt to varying temperatures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cooking techniques and menu preparation in line with hotel standards.
  • Familiarity with herbs, spices, and their appropriate applications in cooking.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until a qualified pool of candidates is established.

Compensation:
$19 per hour
