Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents under the direction of licensed staff.
  • Document all medications provided, including correct medication, dosage, and time given.
  • Notify licensed staff of any medication errors or refusals by residents.
  • Control and secure medications at all times.
  • Follow state and federal guidelines for medication administration, storage, and disposal.
  • Respond to resident call lights and requests, and notify licensed staff of any resident care needs or changes in condition.
  • Observe and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with successful completion of Trained Medication Assistant course.
  • Minimum 1000 working hours as a CNA.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal.
