Tax Supervisor

The Tax Supervisor is a key member of the CommonSpirit tax team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of federal, state, and local tax returns. This role requires a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed reviews of tax returns to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
* Supervise tax staff and provide guidance on tax-related matters
* Collaborate with tax analysts and senior tax analysts to resolve complex tax issues
* Develop and implement processes to improve tax return preparation and review
* Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and adapt the tax review process accordingly
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, Master's degree preferred
* CPA or attorney preferred
* Minimum of four years experience in tax preparation and tax research required
* Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
