Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Education Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Upper Arlington Schools. As a key member of our special education department, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to students with speech and language disabilities.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field and experience working with students with speech and language disorders. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to support student learning.

You will also provide training and consultation to staff on topics related to speech and language development and disorder. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as you will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disabilities
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop strategies for improvement
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support student learning and develop strategies for implementation
  • Provide training and consultation to staff on topics related to speech and language development and disorder
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Experience working with students with speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
