About the OpportunityThe West Virginia University Orthopaedic Research Scholar opportunity will provide future clinician-scientists with an opportunity to engage in cutting-edge orthopaedic research. We are seeking motivated students who are eager to improve their orthopaedic research experience.

Clinical Experience
As part of the research fellowship, you will spend at one-half day per week in clinics or operating rooms on a rotating observership basis which will allow you to engage with faculty, residents and other students while exploring additional research questions. You will also be invited to participate in weekly didactic conferences including grand rounds, indication conferences and journal clubs.
Research Experience
The West Virginia University Orthopaedic Research Scholar opportunity is a funded one-year fellowship that will start after the application process is complete. The start date is flexible, but we encourage you to participate as soon as possible based on your graduation requirements. Our department has clinical research personnel to assist with data collection, IRB submission and manuscript preparation. Clinical faculty and departmental statisticians will assist with the completion of projects and presentation and publication of the work.
