General Overview
The School of Nursing is actively seeking adjunct instructors to collaborate with our full-time faculty on an as-needed basis to deliver both clinical and theoretical nursing courses.
Adjunct instructors are compensated per credit hour for the courses they teach. A master's degree or higher is mandatory for this role in accordance with our accreditation requirements.Key Responsibilities
The primary duty of the instructor is to provide high-quality education through teaching.
Instructors are expected to continuously enhance their professional skills to ensure exceptional educational experiences for their students.
Teaching responsibilities may encompass various obligations, including but not limited to: engaging with students during and outside of scheduled classes, evaluating student assignments and performance, creating syllabi and course materials, supplying copies of syllabi and course materials to their supervisor upon request, and assigning and submitting grades in alignment with established schedules.
Minimum Requirements:
Possession of an active and unrestricted nursing license in Michigan, along with a completed Master's Degree or higher prior to the commencement of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching clinical and/or undergraduate nursing students is advantageous but not mandatory.
