About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Applications Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our Sales and Fulfillment organization, you will play a critical role in delivering HVAC controls and system integration solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop integrated solutions for HVAC, lighting, and other smart building technologies, including documentation and technical outreach.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and System Engineering on system initiatives, representing market, industry, business, and customer needs.
  • Provide technical expertise for the development of HVAC system applications, interfaces, and integration to 3rd party systems.
  • Engage with key industry associations to represent Trane and our customers' needs in the development of industry standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct voice of customer activities to identify business, customer, and user needs based on stakeholder interviews, focus groups, and advisory panels.
Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering or other technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in building systems operation, design, and/or support.
  • Demonstrated high level of understanding of HVAC, controls, and open standard protocols including BACnet, Modbus, and/or LonTalk.
  • Experience designing and/or programming mission critical control systems such as data centers or industrial processes a plus.
