Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York). The successful candidate will create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment by utilizing person-first language, respectful documentation, person-centered planning, and evidence-based practices to ensure comprehensive and integrated on-site social services.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Social Work with the expectation of securing LMSW licensure within one year of hire. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, as well as a reasonable combination of skills in strengths-based, solution-focused practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with residents to provide treatment, conduct psychosocial assessments, and develop individual service plans from intake through discharge.
  • Provide case management and therapeutic interventions focused on senior services, including housing stability, medical and mental health stability, and social isolation.
  • Maintain accurate case records and statistics for program evaluation.
  • Ensure support and education are provided and documented to assist residents in their transition into the community.
