Job Overview

Position Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for directing project operations at the designated office or job site, ensuring that project goals are met by effectively planning, scheduling, and executing project tasks from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and corporate safety protocols.
  • Actively engage in the safety strategies and initiatives of the assigned projects.
  • Oversee projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Review contract terms, scope of work, and specific provisions, ensuring project team members are informed.
  • Obtain material, subcontractor, and engineering quotes from a minimum of three vendors.
  • Assist in vendor selection and coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Verify quantities and hours during the reverse takeoff process.
  • Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of building systems and their relation to the construction process.
  • Develop and coordinate construction project timelines.
  • Enhance branch performance through positive client relations and active involvement in the Customer Alignment Plan.
  • Support and visit assigned job sites, participating in necessary project meetings.
  • Conduct quantitative takeoffs to validate estimates, order materials, and assess change orders.
  • Evaluate change requests and promptly update the budget.
  • Prepare, review, and report on weekly production metrics.
  • Analyze the weekly job cost report with the project Foreman and team.
  • Prepare invoices and authorize payments.
  • Monitor project progress and expenditures, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Create and implement job schedules, coordinating with field supervisors and foremen, and effectively communicate issues to optimize project workflow.
  • Manage labor control on assigned projects, making adjustments as necessary to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate warranties and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
  • Accountable for job cost control measures through monthly Financial Analysis Worksheets (FAWs) on assigned projects.
  • Provide leadership to the project team throughout the construction project lifecycle.
Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Metal Stud Framing and Drywall Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in estimating, project management, and overseeing specialty construction scopes.
  • Ability to analyze and process critical information, identifying key areas that may affect profitability and proactively managing risks.
  • Strong capability to interpret specifications and drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, and QuickBid. Familiarity with critical path method scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong customer service aptitude.
  • Proficient in multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and apply them effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and follow through on assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency, with a high level of competency in reading, writing, and speaking English, as well as interpreting construction-related documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • OSHA Certification.
  • Local candidates are preferred.
