Job Title: Exercise Physiologist

Responsibilities

  • Provide, coordinate, and direct care to individuals and families using a holistic approach.
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment.
  • Assist with patient intake by performing EKG assessments and gym orientations, as well as taking vital signs as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust patient exercise progression to meet discharge standards.
  • Demonstrate competency in patient care for adult and geriatric patients.
  • Conduct accurate and complete documentation of patient therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with members of the healthcare team, provide leadership, and conduct oneself professionally.
  • Coordinate with the RN for facilitating routine operations of the cardiac rehabilitation program.
  • Responsible for initial exercise prescriptions of patients and ongoing assessment/adjustment throughout the recovery process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, physical education, or a related field.
  • 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Rehab or a related field.
  • CT CPR; CT ACLS certification.
