Key Responsibilities
HDR is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Water Business Group. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our engineering team, contributing to studies and detailed design as well as construction services for various water-related projects. In this capacity, you will be expected to:
- Develop comprehensive designs for pump stations, collection and distribution systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and analytical reports for water and wastewater systems, selecting appropriate design methodologies, equipment sizing, and cost assessments.
- Act as a project manager or support project managers throughout the design and construction processes.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain it through reciprocity.
- Experience in evaluating, designing, and developing specifications for water/wastewater treatment facilities and pump station projects is highly desirable.
- The ideal candidate will be self-driven, possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), pay close attention to detail, and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management software is advantageous.
- A commitment to actively participating in our employee-owned culture is essential.
- Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the local area.
