This role demands a thorough understanding of patient safety and laboratory techniques necessary to ensure complete patient safety and anonymity. Key Responsibilities:+ Conduct analytical tests on biological specimens efficiently, accurately, and within documented laboratory procedures+ Determine specimen acceptability by inspecting visually or recognizing abnormal/unusual results+ Recognize factors affecting measurements and take appropriate action according to protocols+ Perform quality control for all testing and meet established ranges before releasing patient results+ Maintain a safe and efficient work environment by checking equipment, cleaning the workspace, monitoring temperatures, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment+ Other duties as assigned. Education and Certifications:+ Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Biochemistry through a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) approved program (required)+ MLS Medical Laboratory Scientist Certification or eligibility from a nationally recognized certification agency (preferably ASCP) (required)Experience and Skills:+ Externship program completed (preferred)+ Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment+ Engage with staff and patients in a professional mannerMany of our opportunities reward your hard work with:
