Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy Department. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with medical oncologists, and contribute to advancing our institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with patient evaluation, management, and treatment, working within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocol(s).
- Provide direct medical/patient care to patients undergoing bone marrow transplant or Cellular Immunotherapy procedures.
- Correlate subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis, and formulate treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.
- Prescribe oral and IV medications when appropriate, within the scope of practice, and document patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
- Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
- Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
- Active BLS and ACLS (must be AHA approved).
- Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; previous BMT experience preferred.
