About the Role:
Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Environmental Group Manager to lead and expand our Environmental Group in the Salt Lake City office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing a growing team of 8- environmental professionals, developing and implementing business strategies, and ensuring the safe execution of all phases of project work to meet our clients' objectives and company goals for revenue generation and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a growing team of 8- environmental professionals, providing leadership in managing staff performance, recruiting and retention, and mentoring personnel for overall success of practice and team.
- Foster and maintain a positive culture and working environment in both the environmental group and throughout the office.
- Direct and prepare soil and groundwater assessments, feasibility studies, Phase I/IIs, remedial action plans, remediation system design/operation, construction, and other supporting technical studies.
- Oversee large programs and multiple projects simultaneously within scope, schedule, budget, and ensure quality is achieved on project deliverables.
- As a practice builder/doer seller, identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in the development of business with new and existing clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related field. Master's degree or equivalent desired. PE preferred.
- 8-9 years of related experience, demonstrating successful development and management of staff and project/program management experience desired. 5 – 6 years project management experience and knowledge of applicable laws and regulations required. 3 – 4 years supervisory/management experience required.
