Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate mental health professional to join our team at BlazerJobs as a Student Mental Health Support Specialist. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in school psychology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Students with Mental Health Challenges
  • Administer behavioral health screening tools to identify students in need of support
  • Conduct brief behavioral health assessments and triage to determine the best course of action
  • Provide crisis intervention and brief emotional support sessions to students
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform support strategies
  • Conduct short-term individual and small-group counseling sessions to support students
  • Make referrals for more intensive mental health services as needed
  • Facilitate consent for treatment and develop treatment plans in collaboration with students and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and support
Requirements
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in school psychology or a related field
  • Hold one of the following qualifications:
    • Licensed Masters Level Psychologist
    • Limited Licensed Masters Level Psychologist (under supervision)
    • MDE Credentialed Masters Level School Psychologist
    • Licensed Masters Level Social Worker
    • Licensed Masters Level School Social Worker
    • Limited Licensed Masters Level Social Worker (under supervision)
    • Licensed Bachelor Level Social Worker (must be enrolled or plan to enroll in a program to become an LLMSW or LMSW within 24 months of hire)
    • Licensed Masters Level Marriage and Family Therapist
    • Licensed Masters Level Professional Counselor
    • Limited Licensed Masters Level Professional Counselor (under supervision)
    • School Counselor License (SCL), Michigan Teaching Certificate with NT Endorsement, Preliminary School Counselor Credential (PSCC), or Temporary School Counselor License (TSCL) with requirements to become an LLPC or LPC within 24 months of hire
