Job Title: Software Developer 3 - Power BI and C#

This is a Software Developer 3 contractor position as part of the WIC Applications team, working on designing and implementing programs supporting WIC's move from an EBT offline system to an EBT online system.

The developer will work with the rest of the WIC IT Applications team and two vendors to deploy workarounds during this transition and move data between multiple systems.

This position will perform Software Application Developer duties involving technical areas such as Microsoft Azure, Data Factory, Data Lakehouse on Databricks, Microsoft SQL Server, and Power BI reports.

  • Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) in Microsoft Azure or other cloud hosting environments.
  • Ability to design and develop Power BI reports.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with multiple projects and deadlines.

Experience:

  • Work experience as a Software Engineer or Application Developer.
  • Experience developing in C# and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with SQL scripting, SQL syntax, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL programming in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with other functional and technical staff on the project.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with Data Factory and Data Lakehouse on Databricks.
