Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tempur Sealy. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, installing, servicing, and repairing various plant equipment including sewing machines, computer-controlled machinery, mechanized conveyors, and building utilities such as power and compressed air distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and maintain machinery to support quality and production targets.
- Conduct planned and unplanned maintenance work to reduce machine downtime.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations (Lockout/Tag-out) while conducting all work.
- Repair, set up, or install equipment for operators tuning mechanically or by changing parameters on Human Machine Interface.
- Assemble and test machinery to ensure it is safe and operational before placing it back into production.
- Perform building maintenance as needed.
- Organize and stock raw materials in the work area and follow departmental housekeeping requirements, leaving the work environment and equipment clean at the end of the production day.
Requirements:
- Two to five years of maintenance experience in an industrial production environment and knowledge of OSHA regulations are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work safely, take initiative, multi-task, and work both independently and as a part of a team.
- Capable of rapidly responding to unplanned equipment breakdowns during production.
- Track record of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Knowledge of basic building maintenance.
- Able to travel approximately 10% of the calendar year.
- Able to record work orders using a computer or tablet.
