Job Title: Adjunct Faculty OMM

Job Summary:

Touro University New York is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the OMM laboratory setting, as well as presenting laboratory content to osteopathic medical students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver OMM laboratory content to 1st and 2nd year osteopathic medical students
  • Present laboratory content to students, facilitating an environment conducive to learning and motivating students to learn
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the OMM department, participating in departmental activities and committees as assigned
  • Grade practical examinations and provide reports and budgetary information as requested by department chairs, directors, and deans
  • Advise and mentor students, participating in medical student admission interviews

Qualifications:

  • DO or MD degree, with DO degree preferred
  • Board certification or eligibility in NMM/OMM, or equivalent

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge base in a specialty area of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to teach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to contribute to the growth and development of the OMM department and university

Computer Skills:

  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and software used to prepare and administer written exams electronically, as well as experience with Learning Management Systems
