We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Clinical Specialist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive physical therapy assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer physical therapy treatment to patients, including exercise, heat, light, ultrasound, water, electricity, massage, gait training, and balance training.
- Provide patient and family education programs to promote understanding and participation in physical therapy goal setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Case Management, Nursing, and Physicians, to ensure timely discharge and continuation of treatment.
- Develop and implement in-service programs for Physical Therapy Staff, Nursing Staff, and other Ancillary Staff on equipment use, transfer training, and body mechanics.
- Monitor equipment use for safety and wear and tear in the department.
- Ensure delivery of excellent customer service, resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for the department and Medical Center.
- Masters Degree in Physical Therapy with Clinical Specialist Certification through the APTA or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an Accredited Physical Therapy Program with two years clinical experience.
- Prior acute care and outpatient experience required.
- Ability to read and concentrate frequently to check accuracy of reports, correspondence, computer records, etc.
- Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures.
- Ability to deal with stress of dealing with public, frequent interruptions, and working on more than one task concurrently.
