Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to join our team at South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, evaluating images for technical quality, and maintaining technical skills needed to perform these procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Performs and documents wipe testing, radiation surveys, dose calibrator assays, and other quality control/quality assurance procedures.
  • Generates and maintains all required records, including documentation of procedures and patient information.
  • Demonstrates competence with and proper use of the Radiology Information System to include scheduling of exams, completion of exams, and entering of charges for procedures performed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School/GED and graduate of an accredited educational program in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Registration or registry eligibility by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
