Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Chemist to join our team. As an Industrial Chemist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests, reviewing data, and determining chemical and physical characteristics of molecular sieve adsorbent materials.
Responsibilities
- Set up, adjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments
- Maintain laboratory and departmental protocols for safety and hygiene
- Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas
- Test samples of manufactured and purchased products to verify conformity to specifications
- Test incoming raw materials and products for conformance
- Report test results in written, electronic, and verbal formats
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry strongly preferred
- Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Excel
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Undergraduate or post-graduate background in conducting research in a laboratory setting
- Ability to work 12 hour schedule, including weekends and holidays
Compensation and Benefits
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $22.60 per hour based on relative job experience.
Work Environment
The Industrial Chemist will be working in a laboratory environment and will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms frequently. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
