Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host/Carryout Staff to join our team at Big Bowl - Edina. As a Host/Carryout Staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Greet guests with a warm and sincere smile, answer telephones, take orders, and messages, and maintain accurate guest counts and wait times.
  • Carryout Operations: Take orders, check accuracy, package, and collect payment for carryout orders while ensuring professional service and guest satisfaction.
  • Coat Check Duties: Assist with Coat Check duties as directed.

Essential Functions:

  • Warm Greeting: Warmly greet and seat guests in the restaurant.
  • Communication: Answer telephones, take orders, messages, and reservations, and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Availability: Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Safely and effectively move chairs, tables, highchairs, and booster seats, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Teamwork: Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels, and get along well with others and be a team player.

Requirements:

  • Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
  • Multitasking: Multitask calmly and effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Understand and respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and menu, and use sales techniques to present and encourage current promotions to guests.
