Job Summary
The Loading Dock Supervisor is a key role within the Marvin organization, responsible for leading and supervising the loading dock department to meet and exceed company goals. This position's major responsibility is to ensure that the trucks are unloaded and loaded completely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
- Lead, direct, and motivate the department to achieve exceptional results and surpass company goals.
- Develop and train associates to enhance their skills and knowledge, while maintaining a work environment that promotes success.
- Make product prioritization and decision-making decisions that proactively affect the department and integrity.
- Maintain necessary paperwork and documentation, including audits, disciplines, and reviews.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to coordinate trailers and ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with the scheduling department to ensure seamless coordination.
- Coordinate product flow with other facilities and production lines to optimize efficiency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of related supervisory experience or training.
- ICIM and Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Ability to work well and communicate with others.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Direct supervisory responsibility for 11+ associates.
