Job Summary:

As a Class A CDL Driver for Norfolk Iron and Metal, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our tractor/trailer fleet. Your primary goal will be to distribute products as dispatched in the most efficient manner possible. This will involve performing required DOT pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections, completing DVIR for pre and post trips and driving, and assisting in loading and unloading of steel and other supplies. Additionally, you will provide customer service in a professional manner.

Responsibilities:

- Operate tractor/trailer fleet safely and efficiently
- Distribute products as dispatched in the most efficient manner
- Perform DOT pre and post trip truck and trailer inspections
- Complete DVIR for pre and post trips and driving
- Assist in loading and unloading of steel and other supplies
- Provide customer service in a professional manner

Requirements:

- Class A CDL required
- Current medical card and meet all NIM and DOT employment qualifications
- Safety - must be able to follow all safety guidelines
- Physical Demand - able to meet the requirements necessary to perform the job
