Key Responsibilities- Optimize Radiation Use: Ensure the safe and effective use of radiation in medical imaging procedures.
- Assist with Procedures: Assist physicians with minimally invasive procedures, such as angioplasty, biopsies, and image-guided thermal ablation.
- Advise on Radiology Equipment: Provide guidance on the provision of radiology equipment and ensure its proper use.
- Evaluate Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of radiology services to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Train Staff and Physicians: Educate staff and physicians on relevant aspects of radiation protection and medical imaging procedures.
- Education: Two-year degree in Interventional Radiology or a related field.
- Experience: One year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician or a related role.
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification.
