Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team at Core MedStaff. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Company and Client requirements and standards, as well as maintaining personnel files for healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably with The Joint Commission, and be passionate about providing exceptional customer service. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software are essential for this role.

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role:

  • Manage personnel files for healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with Company and Client requirements and standards
  • Create and distribute reminder emails, texts, and calls to nurses with expiring items
  • Assess healthcare professional credentials for deficiencies and communicate issues to Management
  • Contact healthcare professionals to update missing/expiring credentials and requirements according to established target dates
  • Utilize internal systems for accurate and current record-keeping of all personnel files
  • Process background checks, drug screens, and verification of professional licenses, credentials, and education
  • Work with Clients to fulfill requests for personnel information
  • Communicate directly with internal and external staff to ensure all requirements are completed accurately and timely
  • Provide excellent customer service to all parties
  • Support Travel Department in collecting travel hours and sign-in sheets
  • Conduct field visits at least twice a month to build rapport with nurses
  • The Compliance Officer reports directly to the HRC Resource Manager and must foster a strong team environment
  • Covers staffing duties daily

Requirements:

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably with The Joint Commission
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
  • High degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Availability to work 40-60 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends
