Job Summary

As a key member of the Nutrition Services team at Chi, the Supervisor Nutrition Svcs will be responsible for maintaining and administering established department operational systems, providing for the operational needs of staff, and contributing to the development of new operational systems as an active member of the management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer established department operational systems to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Provide for the operational needs of staff, including directing storeroom clerk and cooks, and ensuring adequate staffing for daily needs.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement and sustain infection control practices in the storage facility.
  • Communicate with patients, staff, and customers regarding the level of services received from Nutrition Services staff.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage the performance of staff, including assigning staff and workload, and respecting changing priorities in daily operations.
  • Collaborate in the process of menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of experience in food services, with two (2) years of hospital nutrition experience.
  • Associate of Arts degree.
  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist required. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager.
  • Current (within the past 12 months) ServSafe Allergen certifications.
