Responsibilities and Duties:
As a Sediment Control Compliance Inspector, your primary role will involve conducting thorough field inspections on infrastructure projects, including roadways and bridges, to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
A solid understanding of erosion and sediment control methodologies is essential for this position.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing project plans for site data and topographical information.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of erosion and sedimentation control measures.
- Maintaining comprehensive records of compliance and enforcement activities.
- Conducting on-site inspections and assessing mitigation strategies.
- Preparing written reports and correspondence regarding compliance issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED, along with a minimum of two years of experience in construction inspection.
Additionally, candidates must hold a current MDE Certified Responsible Personnel Certification (RPC) and have a strong grasp of Erosion & Sediment Control plans, Stream Restoration, and Stormwater Management specifications.
Key qualifications include:
- Proficiency in computer applications and construction site navigation.
- Dependability and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with local zoning ordinances and enforcement practices.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to interpret construction plans.
