KEA is seeking a dedicated Personal Property Tax Advisor to assist clients and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with jurisdictional personal property tax regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and possess a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file personal property tax returns and renditions, along with asset reconciliation and financial database management for designated clients.
  • Ensure timely processing and mailing of all relevant returns and renditions.
  • Review personal property tax assessments, manage assessment protests, and conduct audits.
  • Address client inquiries and respond to requests from tax authorities.
  • Collaborate with taxing authorities to verify calculations and filing methods, while performing detailed calculations.
  • Analyze documentation and investigate issues as needed.
  • Utilize raw data to perform necessary calculations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or business.
  • 3-5 years of consulting experience in the Business Personal Property sector or relevant experience with County Appraisal Districts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, particularly in providing financial analysis in a consulting context.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly in both verbal and written forms.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
