About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Abbott. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive business value and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Develop and manage procurement plans, including sourcing, contracting, and contract management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of procurement activities
  • Monitor and report on procurement metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, Business, or Financial degree
  • 4-6 years of procurement experience, with a focus on category management and supplier relationship management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheet programs and other procurement tools
