Job Description Summary/Objective

The Sociology Department at Randolph College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We are seeking a colleague who is dedicated to students and teaching, with a focus on Race & Ethnicity, Queer Studies, or International issues.

Essential Functions
  • Teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate students
  • Serving on department and college committees
  • Contributing to curriculum development in Sociology
  • Developing and maintaining an active research agenda
  • Incorporating undergraduate students into their research when possible
Competencies
  • Teaching in Sociology or closely related fields (Gender Studies, African American Studies, etc)
Required Education and Experience

PhD or ABD in Sociology or closely related field (Gender Studies, African American Studies, etc.)

2+ years of undergraduate teaching experience

Record of research, presentations, and publications

Additional Eligibility Requirements
