Job Description Summary/ObjectiveThe Sociology Department at Randolph College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. We are seeking a colleague who is dedicated to students and teaching, with a focus on Race & Ethnicity, Queer Studies, or International issues.
Essential Functions- Teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate students
- Serving on department and college committees
- Contributing to curriculum development in Sociology
- Developing and maintaining an active research agenda
- Incorporating undergraduate students into their research when possible
- Teaching in Sociology or closely related fields (Gender Studies, African American Studies, etc)
PhD or ABD in Sociology or closely related field (Gender Studies, African American Studies, etc.)
2+ years of undergraduate teaching experience
Record of research, presentations, and publications
