Position Summary:
We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Electrical Superintendent to direct and oversee electrical installations for solar and battery storage initiatives. The successful candidate will possess at least 7 years of experience within the solar and battery storage sector, demonstrating a robust background in managing extensive electrical projects. The Electrical Superintendent will be accountable for ensuring that all projects are executed punctually, within financial constraints, and in accordance with safety regulations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate electrical installations and maintenance for solar and battery storage projects.
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with project specifications.
- Analyze and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guarantee precise and efficient installations.
- Monitor the quality of work performed by the electrical team, conducting regular inspections and addressing issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to formulate and execute project plans and timelines.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety standards and regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Provide technical support and training to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Track project progress, including budget and timeline compliance, and furnish regular updates to management.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
- Address and resolve any project-related challenges or conflicts promptly and effectively.
Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience in the solar and battery storage industry, with a proven history of managing large-scale electrical projects.
- Valid OSHA certification is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, solar power systems, and battery storage technologies.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and direct a diverse team.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the capacity to troubleshoot complex electrical challenges.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant trade certifications or licenses are advantageous.
- OSHA certification is required.
